The histology of voluntary muscle in cattle and changes which occur during fattening

derived from the Introduction section of the thesis: The present investigation does not enter into a general consideration of the histology or voluntary striated muscle but is confined to a few phases of the subject. The occurrence of fat in the muscle fiber will be considered in some detail. Some observations bearing on the changes in striated muscle incident to fattening, growth, and inanition will be presented.
