The 7th World Chess Software championship, WCSC, started on July 1st 2017: seven engines participated across seven rounds. The common platform was a Dell Precision T1700 computer with an Intel Core-I7-4770 processor at 3.4GHz with 4 cores and 16GB RAM supporting 4-8 process threads. Longtime ICGA competitor and past champion SHREDDER took the title with a significant comeback ahead of Komodo and Jonny.
