This empirical study deals with the construction of a learning community in an online non-collaborative distance course. It is ass umed that tutors play an important role in the community-building process. The methodology is based on discourse analysis, the corpus being pedagogical interactions in context of an onl ine masters course in French as a foreign language. This Course is proposed by virtual campus and aims at training teachers. Tutorial interventions and their effects will be analysed in depth. Theoretical as well as practical issues will be dealt with, aiming at a better descrip tion and understanding of relationships that evolve through online discourses. MOTS-CLÉS : communication médiatisée par ordinateur, apprentiss age collectif assisté par ordinateur, analyse du discours, tutorat en ligne, communauté d'apprentissage.
