This work is a report experience about the application of WebQuest (WQ) involving radioactivity concepts. The WQ presented four tasks, with the purpose to discuss the phenomena basic concepts, the radioactivity history, the different application of the scientific knowledge involved and the use of thermonuclear energy. The data collection included the logbook teacher and qualitative and quantitative evaluations. Secondary high school students, from a public school located in Marau-RS, participated in the activities. The results indicated that WQ has stimulated the students to search for information in a critical way and interact effectively among their peers. In addition, helped the acquisition of important meanings, by students, in terms of basic knowledge in chemistry and their application in society.
