Toronto-based artist Diane Borsato invited twenty-four participants each to wear a highly fragrant gardenia boutonniere to the opening reception of a major new commercial gallery for Cloud (2012). The eponymous “cloud” of fragrance hung in the air even after the performers and their flowers left the building.
