Factors related to conference size, complexity, location and communication between the conference organization, contributors and support staff are identified and discussed. An audiovisual organization is described of which the main features are; the appointment of an audiovisual specialist to coordinate the organization, preview and controlled delivery of audiovisual material to support staff, and the use of an events chart as an aid to forecasting and identifying problems.
