The effects of yeast cell photorecovery after photodynamic inactivation by optical radiation in the near-ultraviolet (320–380 nm) and visible (400–600 nm) ranges of the spectrum have been revealed. Red light at 680 nm has shown the highest efficiency and the maximum level of photoreaction upon short-term irradiation (minutes). For the first time, we show here the possibility of cell photorecovery from photodynamic damage.
