The Influence of Chromium Impurity on the Spectral Characteristics of ZnWO4 Crystals

The absorption, excitation, and emission spectra under photoand X-ray excitation of ZnWO, ZnWO4:Cr 3+ zinc tungstate crystals have been investigated. The charge trapping and the radiative thermally stimulated recombination processes in ZnWO4 involve six trapping states at at 107, 129, 152, 170 K and 200, 235 K. The activation energies of traps which are responsible for appearance of TSL in the region 80-300 K were estimated.
