This work deals with the study of absorption and luminescence spectra of Ag-CdI2 photosensitive heterosystem and the influence of laser radiation on the spectral properties investigated system. In Ag-CdI2, additional absorption bands are found. Absorption with maxima at 400–500 nm is associated with surface plasmon resonance in silver nanoparticles, which are formed at the initial stages of metal sputtering. From the analysis of the parameters of the spectrum it is established, that silver particles have a spheroidal shape, with the ratio of the axes
