A comparative analysis of the judicial review of acts concerning international protection status determination in French and Turkish legal systems reveals two essential differences. First one is related to the competent judicial authority: whilst in France, a specialized court reviews the administrative decisions concerning status determination, disputes arising from those decisions fall under the jurisdiction of general administrative courts in Turkey. Second difference is about the nature of the action brought against decisions of status determination: in France, the legal instrument of the review is the action of full jurisdiction whereas in Turkey, an annulment action is lodged against aforementioned decisions. The aim of this article is to examine those differences, attempting to reach some conclusions regarding Turkish law, based on the French experience.
