Article presents process of application of a selected quality method for analyzing and solving problems with the defectiveness of the foundry production process in example of pulley production in the examined enterprise X. The first part of the article presents the essence of quality and describes and illustrates the FMEA method. The theoretical part presents the characteristics of the tested object, the production process in terms of technology and presents the FMEA analysisthe analysis of the types of errors and their consequences. Directs to the analytical determination of cause-effect relation resulting in potential incompatibilities of the product. Afterwards eliminating or reducing the risks associated with it.
