Resumen El siguiente articulo presenta los resultados de una investigacion preliminar sobre la usabilidad en las redes sociales, realizado con personas mayores en Espana. Para la realizacion de este trabajo se utilizo la tecnica de test de usuario, basandose en el proceso de registro de las redes sociales seleccionadas. Los resultados mas significativos del estudio muestran algunos problemas comunes como el uso de caracteres de comprobacion ilegibles (para evitar el registro automatico), botones y enlaces que no son visibles, y otros aspectos de los formularios que podrian representar un obstaculo para cualquier usuario. En este sentido, tambien se presentan algunas recomendaciones para mejorar el nivel de usabilidad y ayudar a corregir los problemas encontrados. Abstract The following paper presents the results of a preliminary investigation about usability in social networks that was realized with elders in Spain. To accomplish this work user test evaluation was realized, being focused on the sign in process of the selected social networks. The most significant results of the study show some common problems like the use of illegible checking characters (to avoid automatic sign in), buttons and links that are not visible and other forms aspects that might represent an obstacle to any user. In this respect, we also present some recommendations to improve the usability level and help to correct the finding problems. Keywords Usability, elder, usability test, usable form.
