espanolPara contribuir a mejorar al abordaje del anciano diabetico disenamos el Estudio MADICA© , cuyo objetivo es conocer el grado de Inercia Terapeutica (IT) en los mayores de 65 anos con Diabetes Mellitus tipo 2, tras intervencion a profesionales sanitarios y pacientes. Estudio descriptivo transversal retrospectivo MADICA I© , y de cohortes MADICA II© . Corresponden a la Zona Basica de Salud de Cadiz “La Laguna”, el grupo intervencion, y “Loreto-Puntales”, el grupo control, N=570. Se revisan las historias de los pacientes analizando variables socio-demograficas, clinicas, analitica-bioquimicas, farmacologicas, valoracion geriatrica e IT. En el estudio MADICA I© , la IT global es 81.58%, correspondiendo el 60.86% a la "La Laguna”, siendo via MIR 58.79% y no via MIR 72.81%, y ascendiendo al 91.23% en “Loreto-Puntales”, en el que via MIR es de 92.25% y no MIR 90.38%. Post-intervencion, MADICA II© , la IT global resultante es 72.98%. En “La Laguna” hay inercia en el 58.39% de los casos, en MIR 51.69% y no MIR 70.83%. En “Loreto-Puntales” se presenta en el 88.17% del total, siendo entre los MIR el 89.92% y no MIR del 86.67%. El grado de IT en los mayores diabeticos de Cadiz es elevado. La formacion academica previa y continuada en diabetes y geriatria es una medida indispensable para reducir la IT. EnglishMadica II © study. To contribute to improve the management of the elderly diabetic patients MADICA © Study was designed, which aim is to determine the degree of therapeutic inertia (IT) in those over 65 Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus patients, after an intervention done to healthcare professionals and patients. A cross-sectional retrospective study in MADICA I © , and a cohort design, MADICA II © .The intervention group belongs to “La Laguna”, and the control one to “Loreto-Puntales”, N=570. Patients’clinical histories were reviewed, analizyng social-demographic, clinical, biochemical, pharmacological, geriatric evaluation and IT variables. In MADICA I © Study, the whole IT is 81.58%, 60.86% belongs to “La Laguna”, being MIR 58.79% and no MIR 72.81%; the IT in “Loreto-Puntales” is 91.23%, being MIR 92.25%, and no MIR 90.83%. After the intervention, MADICA II © , the whole IT is 72.98%, the IT in “La Laguna” is 58.39%, being MIR 51.69% and no MIR 70.83%; the IT in “Loreto Puntales” is 88.17%, being MIR 89.92%, and no MIR 86.67%. The degree of IT in the elderly diabetics of Cadiz is high. Previous training academic level, joint to a continuous training in diabetes and Geriatrics is an essential step to reduce IT.
