Os metodos de analise estrutural, que vem se desenvolvendo durante as ultimas decadas, adotam, por via de regra, simplificacoes em suas consideracoes, de modo a permitir que programas computacionais tenham mais fluidez e eficiencia ao executa-los. O presente trabalho demonstra a importância da consideracao da interacao solo estrutura, comparando-a com os metodos convencionais que nao consideram tal fator e, neste aspecto, observou-se que houve uma redistribuicao significativa de esforcos em grande parte dos elementos estruturais, bem como um aumento dos deslocamentos nas direcoes horizontais e verticais. Obtendo uma visao mais realista sobre a analise do comportamento mecânico das edificacoes, procurou-se otimizar o tempo necessario para uma abordagem apropriada em problemas complexos, proporcionando mais seguranca ao engenheiro. ABSTRACT The structural analysis methods, that have been developing during the recent decades, embrace, as a matter of course, simplifications in its considerations, in order to enable any computational software to be more fluid and efficient in executing them. The present paper demonstrates the importance of considering the soil-structure interaction, comparing it with conventional methods that don’t consider such factor and, in that aspect, it was observed that there were significant redistributions of the loads on the majority of the structural elements, as well as a displacement increase on the horizontal and vertical directions. Getting a more realistic view about the analysis of the mechanical behavior of edifications, it was sought to optimize the necessary time to have an appropriate approach when it comes to complex problems, providing more safety to the engineer.
