Background & aim: Pregnancy accompanies with physiological and psychological alternations during women's' life. These changes influence the overall dimensions of couple’s life, especially marital and sexual relationships. The aim of this study was to study the sexual function and behavior in pregnant women. Methods: This descriptive-analytical study was conducted among 100 pregnant women. Samples were divided into three groups based on pregnancy trimester. The behavior and sexual function of the cases were studied in each group. Data were collected using an instrument containing three parts as demographic characteristics; sexual behavior assessment and Female Sexual Function Index (FSFI).Data were analyzed by and Pierson correlation using SPSS-18 software. Differences were considered to be significant at p<0.05. Results: The results showed that women had intermediate sexual dysfunctions in the first trimester (about 40%) and the secondtrimester (about 27.3%) while mild sexual dysfunction became dominant in the third trimester (about 35.2%).The sexual behaviors were 10 percent via oral, 10 percent via anal and 10 percent by mandatory in pregnant women. Conclusion: Considering the importance of health issues in pregnant women, it is necessary to give consultation in hygienic clinic centers about the sexualbehavior of partners.
