This study, which examines the image of a child in Doğan Kardeş magazine published in the Multi-Party period (1960-1980), is a qualitative research in which document analysis was used as data collection method. In the study, as data collection tool, in the multiparty period, between the two coups (1960-1980), the period of September, October, November 1960 and elections were held in 1960, 1961, 1965, 1969, 1973 and in 1977, the number of the month in which the election was held, the preceding and the next month usually September, October, November were used. Thus, based on the idea that childrens writing produces children and social reality through children, by taking Doğan Kardeş magazine as sample, it was investigated how periodicals drew and constructed a child image, and how child reality was seen in the period discussed. In this context, the issues of Doğan Kardeş children's magazine published between 1960 and 1980 were examined to identify how a child's image was drawn in the texts and comic books covering three months according to the election periods. As a result of the research, it was seen that the issues of cooperation and social sensitivity were tried to be realized and the topics related to space and current issues, writings about civilization, Atatürk and Republic, and political articles that had never been seen before were included in the issues of the magazine between 1955-1966. Thus, it is the period that identifies the child as Turkish child, Atatürk child and Republican child and built it in line with being a good citizen. When the issues published in the period between 1967 and 1978 were examined, it was observed that it was a period in which the aim of imposing an ideal identity on the child was not pursued.
