This article describes an experiment of a public school of Sao Paulo state, Brazil, which used to build educational games for the students as a tool for learning valuation of science. Participated in this experiment thirty-five students from 8 th graders. The evaluation process took place during and after construction of the games, as they were exchanged and played among them. The content chosen by the students was to build the human eye and its structure. The results of this experiment showed that the pedagogical action through the development of games contributed to the assessment practice and resulted in improved student learning.
