This dissertation presents a discussion about violence against intimate partners, with specific focus on those committed by military police officer from Federal District Police Department (PMDF). This is a pioneer research, as it was pointed out by the National Technical Study entitled Women in Public Security Institutions (2013), from the National Secretariat of Public Security of the Ministry of Justice SENASP/MJ, which confirmed the absence of studies related to the theme. The present research aimed to analyze and understand the performance of, when faced with cases of violence against intimate partners committed by it`s agents, based on the analysis of secondary database of the institution for the 264 administrative investigations carried out in the period of 2012 to 2014. There was a prevalence on the profile of male police officers perpetrators of violence and: main representation in the age group above 43 years old, married or in a durable relationship for more than 10 years, more than half has complete basic education and most of them are black. The research indicated the profile of people who have suffered violence committed by police officers as: the highest incidence was in the group of people between 31 to 42 years, the majority had complete primary education, and the majority had their own income. Finally, we present a discussion of the Instruction 003/2011 (DCC/PMDF) with analysis of the administrative procedure flow of inquiry and its consequences. We conclude that this unprecedented study bumped into the lack of studies of this nature, limited in part the amplitude of comparative research with other parameters. However, the highlighted points will provide the insights for future studies to understand the subjective aspects that permeate the theme.
