The current modus operandi of doing science reflects the contemporary paradigm of what is science and what are its goals, all of which puts him in intense discussion since its inception. For some students the basic science and the accumulation of knowledge do not lead a country directly to the widespread use of technologies and, consequently, economic growth or development. In addition, biodiversity, conservation and the economic possibilities of its use make up the scientific and business debate worldwide. Be the exuberant biodiversity of some countries, either by significant biodiversity loss year after year due to anthropogenic processes or the general context of climate change. This paper aims to present a scenario of how to do science, research and development in Brazil from the possible uses of the existing biodiversity
