This thesis realizes an analysis of the residential segregation process in Vila Cauhy, located in Nucleo Bandeirante-DF. It starts from the externality that the urban represents, and the process of segregation is thought as a condition and conditioning of (re)production of the capital. It is considered that the housing – assumed as a commodity – reveals a production of urban space associated with the production of value, which is articulated through social work, in this way, by social relations among the different agents operating in the movement of social life. It articulates the thought of (re)production of urban space with the analytical concept of spatial roughness, which makes possible to think about the previous situations and social agents that forms the space by a structural and conjunction reason. Vila Cauhy, in this sense, behaves as an empirical object which is able to assist in the understanding of this exclusionary process.
