Already a few years the adventure tourism activity is growing in Brazil. Currently adventure tourism is widespread in Brazil and a wide variety of companies and service providers has established nationwide. With the growth of the sector, the debate about the safety in these activities has been fostered too. Thus, the proposal in this research is to study the safety in adventure tourism in the objective point of view and also from the perspective subjective. The main question to be investigated in this work is the answerer for the following question: What is safety in adventure tourism? A feeling? An external reality through the existence of adequate infrastructure, or Both aspects? Thus, this study aims to search the adventure tourism, specifically the paragliding flight activities, surfing and cycling, as regards the issue of security, both what has been called the objective, referring to the external aspects of tourist person, as to what has been called subjective, referring the tourist himself, his sense of security, as he saw the issue of risk and emotions, as expressed.
