Providing legal aid for poor community is part of constitutional rights. Government and Local Government are responsible to fullfill it. Through a socio-legal approach, the study found that in fact legal aid was not significant yet for poor local community. The identification of problem causes was local act inadequacy which specificly regulate legal aid for poor local community, in addition that legal aid authority is Central Government domain perception. Synergy between Central Government (local vertical official) and Local Government is needed in order to optimize legal aid for poor local community.
