The aim was to relate the CPOD index and the state of mind in 12-year-old schoolchildren of the Machángara Parish, Cuenca-Ecuador 2016. The study design used for this work was a descriptive, retrospective, relational study, in which they were analyzed 205 cards, which belong to the study of the Epidemiological Map for schoolchildren of the Machángara parish, Cuenca-Ecuador, 2016. The results of the 205 cards that were made to 12-year-old schoolchildren of the Machángara parish, a predominance of the male sex was registered with 50.7% of the female sex with 49.3%, presenting very low levels of severity of CPOD in both sexes equivalent to 41,0% of the sample, an impact on the performance of the mood decreased with only the 12.7% of the total sample and regarding the severity in the limitation of the mood we have a level of severity "without limitation" with a percentage of 86.8%, being more than 75% of the total sample. In conclusion we can determine the level of CPOD and the severity of limitation in the daily performance of the mood are correlated, although the predominance of the very low level of CPOD is notorious, the obvious result was to obtain a high percentage with less limitation, without However, demonstrated with a 4.9% sample, this small percentage reveals the population with a lot of limitations in the performance of the mood.
