The research is descriptive, with a qualitative approach and the systematic review of national and international articles referring to the personnel selection management variable, which were later analyzed. 60% of the related studies agree that the management of the selection of personnel in public universities, human resources are fundamental pieces for their development since through their work carried out with efficiency and effectiveness they help to provide good citizen services, for this the selection of personnel must be a transparent and effective process. 40% conclude that the selection of personnel must be modern, using social networks to facilitate the process, and evaluating psychological criteria of the applicants based on what they share and publish in their personal accounts since they reflect their way of being and the impact they will have on work institutions.
