Objective: To determine the prevention measures and the prevalence of acute respiratory diseases in preschoolers in the pediatric service of the Hospital Belén-2019. Material and methods: 123 mothers were evaluated. The investigation was descriptive tranversal. A questionnaire was used whose validity was obtained by 3 experts and the reliability was a pilot test at 10% of the sample. The statistical procedure was developed with the help of the IBM SSPS Statistics software. Results: 74% of mothers never burn trash near their home, 15.4% always burn trash, 8.1% almost always burn trash and finally 2.4% of mothers sometimes burn trash near their home to prevent it from accumulating. Conclusion: It is concluded that among the most influential factors in the prevention of respiratory diseases, it indicates that 64.2% of children did receive their micronutrients after 6 months, and 35.8% did not receive their micronutrients from 6 months
