The article that is presented part of the professional observation of the author, in which it is noted that some students have low academic results.  Among the possible causes, reflection has been given to the pedagogical care provided by teachers. Theoretical references establish the importance of good teaching pedagogical attention and its influence on the academic performance of students. So the goal of analyzing the influence of pedagogical attention on the academic performance of first-grade Students of Unified General High School. A mixed approach was used to investigate the characteristics of pedagogical care and results in students' academic performance, analyzing the relationships between the two variables. The scope of the research is descriptive, and the type of field and documentary research. Were used Theoretical, mathematical and empirical methods. Among them, observation, interviews and surveys for obtaining information. The result shows that the pedagogical attention teachers provide to students influences academic performance.
