We discuss the electromagnetic interaction between a traveling charge particle and a perfectly conducting strip of a negligible thickness. The particle travels at a constant velocity along a straight line parallel to the axis of symmetry of the strip. The e-ciency of the proposed solution is proved by evaluating the longitudinal coupling impedance in a wide range of parameters.
