Objective: Quantify the flavonoid content in different brands of Origanum vulgare L. marketed in Montes Claros MG. Methods: The samples of Origanum vulgare L. were acquired in commercial establishments in the city of Montes Claros MG in the month of July 2016. Analysis of samples of Origanum vulgare L. were performed in the laboratory of Medicinal Plants of the Institute of Agrarian Sciences of the Federal University of Minas Gerais, in Montes Claros MG. The total flavonoids were certain of agreement as method of complexação of chloride of aluminum and expressed in mg.g -1 equivalent Rutina.
