The structure of the chaetom and the microsculpture of the abdominal tergites surface are analyzed for 60 species of Scolytinae from different tribes and genera. The typi¬fication and nomenclature of these structures are proposed for the first time. Eight types of microsculptural elements and five types of setae are recognized. The taxonomic significance of these structures is discussed.
