Family Liopteridae (Hymenoptera: Cynipoidea), an archaic group of parasitoid wasp, is reported from India for the first time. Paramblynotus annulicornis Cameron, 1908 is found in the Great Nicobar Island. The specimen from India is redescribed and illustrated.
