The seed beetle fauna of the Russiaт Far East has been well studied and is represented by 20 species, of which 14 species reside the Primorskii krai (Egorov, 1996). During field studies on the phenology of an invasive indigo bush species, the beetle, which had not previously been detected in the Primorskii krai, was collected from its seeds. More than 30 specimens of this beetle were bred during seed germination in the laboratory and deposited in the Federal Scientific Center of Biodiversity FEB RAS (Vladivostok, Russia).
