The ecological crisis is a concern for all Christian churches. The author discusses common climate topics that are present in the statements of religious leaders: human responsibility for environmental degradation, a call to oppose the culture of greed, building ecological justice. The author presents the social effects of the climate crisis - social inequalities and poverty and discusses new forms of ecumenism practised in a risk society. The new ecumenism is not an intellectual movement or theological discussions, but a joint work of the Churches for the poor.
