EnglishIn this work the figure of an ophidium showing its body twisted in several concentric turns is analysed. It was sculpted in the upper right register of a stela from Deir el-Medina. It is compared with other similar representations which could provide, iconographically and symbolically, indications about the meaning the artist may have desired to express with it.
