EnglishThe aim of this paper is to throw light on the specific raw material of four Egyptian-style stone vessels. They were found in Ibiza, probably at the Puig des Molins necropolis, and are kept in the Archaeological Museum of Ibiza and Formentera (Eivissa). These four specimens have served as a basis to initiate preliminary research that seeks to determine their specific raw materials and their provenance; in addition, it aims to clarify the location of the workshops in which these vessels, which were of a type widely distributed throughout the Mediterranean basin in antiquity, were produced. Physicochemical analyses have been carried out to confirm or rule out the Egyptian background of the Ibiza samples. The results of these analyses and a first set of conclusions are discussed below.
