Soursop leaves (Annona muricata L.) is a plant that has been used empirically by the community because one of its benefits as an antioxidant. Soursop leaves are known to contain many compounds including steroids / terpenoids, flavonoids, coumarins, alkaloids, and tannins. The aim of the study was to determine IC50, MDA levels of soursop leaf infusion and the effect of giving soursop leaf infusion (Annona muricata L.) to white rats exposed to cigarette smoke based on measurements of malondialdehyde (MDA) levels. This study used 20 white rats which were divided into four treatment groups, namely the control group, 7 days exposure, 14 days exposure and 7 days exposure then giving 7 days soursop infusion. The method used in measuring MDA levels is the Thiobarbituric Acid Reactive Substance (TBARS) method measured by a UV-Vis spectrophotometer at λ = 531 nm. The statistical analysis used in this study is the t-test. The results obtained were IC50 of 66.08 ppm (strong), MDA levels in the group of soursop leaf infusion on the 0th, 7th and 14th days of the values of 0.470 nmol/mL; 0.652 nmol/mL and 0.470 nmol/mL. Statistical results showed that there was an effect of giving soursop leaf infusion to the profile of MDA levels (p <0.05).
