One of the problems that would arise from a balance disorder is an increased risk of falls among the elderly. The purpose of this study is to determine of 12 balance exercises is more effective than core stability exercise to improve balance.This study is an experimental study with pre and post test two group designs. Sampling methods used in this study was simple random sampling. This study involved 24 subjects which are divided into two groups; In each group, there were consisted of 12 samples, group 1 which was given of core stability exercise while group 2 was given of 12 balance exercises. This exercise is done for 3 times a week for 6 weeks. The data used in this study is collected by measuring balance among the elderly using Berg Balance Scale (BBS) at the beginning and at the end of the exercise in each group. The result showed that the mean score of balance before intervention in group 1 was 45.42 ± 4.79 and group 2 was 44.92 ± 4.27 with Sport and Fitness Journal ISSN: 2302-688X Volume 6, No.1, Januari 2018: 107-116
