Avec la proliferation des telephones portables munis di?½appareils photo, beaucoup de nouvelles applications et services vont emerger : nous presentons le systeme SnapToTell, qui permet de fournir de l'information a partir de requetes images prises di?½un telephone portable. Nous presentons egalement des resultats experimentaux sur li?½identification de scenes basee une collection de test d'images originales et realistes de scenes a Singapour. ABSTRACT. With the proliferation of camera phones, many novel applications and services will emerge. In this paper, we present the SnapToTell system, which provides information directory service to tourists based on pictures taken by the camera phones and location information. Next we present experimental results on scene recognition based on a realistic data set of scenes and locations in Singapore which form a new original application oriented image test bed freely available.
