The current study provides the numerical investigat ion of the drop formation mechanism. Volume of flui d methods is used for the numerical simulation. The a nalysis contains 2% Polyacrylamide as the main flui d that dispersed in the air. For analyzing the drop mechanism, the Vel ocity Vector Contours is studied. Velocity contours al so explains the phenomenon of the satellite drop formation proc ess. Pressure Contours demonstrates the variation of pressure in the drop at various time steps. Pressure varies exponen tially at necking zone for each step of the drop fo rmation. The variation of velocity at the leading edge of the dr op is also investigated. The magnitude of the veloc ity decrease during the neck formation because the liquid upside and downsi de the necking point tugs one another towards their side.
