High tool wear rate and high cycle time in conventio nal machining have provided a dreadful response for harder materials and it is also very difficult to m achine the complex shapes by such machines. Wire Ele ctric Discharge Machining (WEDM) is widely used non-conventional mach ining for the hard materials and intricate shapes. In this paper, an attempt is made to investigate the surfac e integrity of the machine surface as well as the pe rformance of the hybrid MMC A359/Al2O3/B4C during the wire-EDM process under different operatin g conditions. SEM analysis has been carried out to analyze the machined surface. T he output response is measured in terms of surface roughness and MRR. The analysis part has been done by using the L 27 Taguchi’s array under the randomly designed experi ment trials. At the end of the result, grey relation analysis has been made as a confirmation attempt to compare the performance effectiveness of the proposed method.
