High transmission data rate, improved system capaci ty, spectral efficiency, flexible bandwidth operatio ns and reliability are essential for future wireless commun ications systems. MIMO is a bandwidth efficient tech nique for establishing high capacity communication system. RF s pectrum is a finite resource. Hence, in order to ge nerate more throughput from existing bandwidth technology such a s LTE is used. LTE along with MIMO promises to significantly boost data rates and overall system capacity. Capaci ty gain can be enhanced by varying the number of tr ansmitters or receiver antennas.
