espanolEste estudio tiene como objetivo transmitir a la comunidad cientifica la trayectoria dramaturgica del autor canario Orlando Hernandez Martin, sus aportaciones al genero dramatico y la repercusion de su ob ra en la sociedad de la epoca. Para ello, se han extraido del archivo personal del dramaturgo para su analisis tanto las piezas representadas en los escenarios como las publicadas y las ineditas. Paralelamente ha sido necesario acudir a la prensa de la epo ca (segunda mitad del siglo XX) para poder fijar con precision las fechas de los estrenos y la acogida que tuvo cada pieza por parte de la critica y del publico asistente EnglishThis paper is intended to approach the career of the Canarian playwright, Orlando Hern andez Martin, to the scientific community. It also pretends to emphasize his contribution to the dramatic genre and the influence of his work in the society of his time. Thus, pieces of work which have been performed as well as published and unpublished wo rks have been taken from the personal file of the author for their analysis. It has also been necessary to check the press of that time (second half of 20th century) in order to introduce dates when the works were premiered and the acceptance by both the c ritics and the audience
