The aim of this study was to investigate the behaviours of two teachers having diffirent beliefs during that they used plans prepared suitably to the characteristics of effective geometry lesson. The study was carried out with two mathematics teacher who trained 7th grades. These two teachers educated three hours suitably the prepared plans. It was dwelled on polygon concept and its definition at the first lesson, concave and convex polygons at the second one and regular polygons at the third lesson. Lessons were videotaped and the data were analyzed by descriptive method. As a result of this study, it was established that this two teachers who had different beliefs regarding mathematics couldn’t use the plans and teach geometry at the same effectiveness. It was seen that the epistemological beliefs and background of teacher was important.
