In the study, meta-analysis study is carried out in order to determine the effect of learn-ing cycle models usage on students’ permanence of the learned information. Ph.D. and Master theses which have statistical data which can be included in the meta analysis study in accordance with the research problem made between 2007-2016, were searched using the keywords in Turkish and English. As a consequence of literature review, totally 35 studies related to the effect of learning cycle models usage on students’ permanence of the learned information is included in meta-analysis and the effect size of 35 is obtained in total. As a result of the research, it is confirmed that the effect of learning cycle models usage on stu-dents’ permanence of the learned information is in positive way and the determined effect size is found out as 1.306 in the confidence interval 0.963 and 1.649 according to random effects model. This size is a very extensive effect size in accordance with effective size classi-fication. 35 of the effect size 33 obtained in the study is positive and 2 of it is negative. Mod-erator analysis is carried out with regard to learning cycle models type, the theses type and discipline field of the research and education levels of students included in the research. In consequence of analyses, the highest effect size is found out as in 4E model studies in doc-torate thesis studies in biology and in high school students.
