In this study, students’ achievements were analyzed with the developed laboratory activities for the General Chemistry Laboratory-II course. The developed laboratory activities were based on constructivist approach, enriched in terms of science process skills, enabling student actively participate and adopts the hypothesis based laboratory technique. The research was carried on with pre-post test control groups and quasi experimental design. First grade 69 students in Elementary Science Education Department of Kastamonu University have participated in this research. The study has continued for 10 weeks period of General Chemistry Laboratory-II course. In experimental group 36 students continued with the laboratory activities based on constructivist approach and science process skills. In control group 33 students kept continue with the activities that designed inadequately and poorly in terms of process skills, where information is directly given and science process skills were not emphasized. Research data were gathered through the General Chemistry Laboratory Achievement Test which is developed by the researchers. The achievement test was applied to students before and after the treatment as pre-test and post-test. Gathered data were analysed with the SPSS statistics program. As a result, it was found that, a significant difference between experimental group and control group, favoring the experimental group was observed in terms of academic achievement.
