The article deals with the design and development of additional professional programs. The article focuses on the problems of document preparation and the content of training. The author considers one of the conditions for attracting students to additional professional education in the framework of the development of a higher educational organization’s economic independence. The author determines the possibilities of coordinating an additional professional program for students of different specialties with professional standards.
