Bu cal›flman›n amac›, uc farkl› universiteden al›nan mezuniyet notlar›n› ham ve standart puanlar baz›nda karfl›laflt›rarak aralar›ndaki iliflkileri belir- lemektir. Araflt›rma, tarama modelinde betimsel bir cal›flmad›r. Uc univer- siteden elde edilen o¤renci notlar› oncelikle bolumler baz›nda grupland›- r›lm›fl, gruplar baz›nda notlar Z ve T puanlar›na donuflturulerek standart- laflt›r›lma ifllemleri yap›lm›flt›r. Elde edilen ham ve standart puanlar karfl›- laflt›r›lm›flt›r. Araflt›rman›n cal›flma grubunu uc farkl› universitenin eitim fakultelerinden mezun olmufl toplam 692 o¤renci oluflturmaktad›r. A uni- versitesinden 202, B universitesinden 328, C universitesinden ise 162 o¤- renci bulunmaktad›r. Verilerin analizinde uc farkl› universiteden elde edi- len puanlar›n oncelikle betimsel istatistik deerlerine yer verilmifltir. Ar- d›ndan uc farkl› universiteden al›nan mezuniyet puanlar›n› karfl›laflt›rabil- mek icin puanlar standart puanlara donuflturulmufltur. Uc universiteden al›nan ayn› mezuniyet notuna sahip o¤rencilerin standartlaflt›r›lma ifllemi sonucunda elde edilen puanlar› karfl›laflt›r›ld›¤›nda, bolum ortalamas› du- fluk olan universiteden mezun olan o¤rencinin ayn› ham puana sahip olma- lar›na ramen karfl›laflt›r›lan dier o¤rencilerden daha yuksek standart puana sahip olduu gorulmufltur. Dier bir anlat›mla ham puan dikkate al›narak yap›lan deerlendirmelerde genel ortalamas› dufluk universiteler- den gelen o¤rencilerin haks›zl›¤a urad›¤› soylenebilir. Anahtar sozcukler: Ham puan, merkezi yerlefltirme, mezuniyet notu eflit- sizlii, o¤renci baflar›s›, standart puan, standartlaflt›rma. This study aims to compare and find a relation among the raw graduation grade point average (GPA) scores and standard scores of students from three different universities. This research is a descriptive survey model. The GPA scores were initially categorized according to students' majors and then standardized by converting into Z and T scores. Finally, the raw and standard scores were compared. The research group included 692 participants who graduated from faculty of education of three different universities. University A included 202, university B included 328, and university C included 162 students. During the initial data analysis, the descriptive statistical values of the GPA scores were provided. Subsequently, the raw GPA scores were converted into standard scores in order to make a comparison among the three universities. The study results showed that three students who graduate from different universi- ties may have the same raw GPA scores. However, when these scores are converted into standard scores, the student who graduated from the department that has the lowest GPA mean is actually the most successful one. In other words, considering only the raw GPA score creates an unfair situation for the students who graduate from universities that have low GPA means. Abstract
