In this study the fatigue properties of the joints in lap form of friction stir welded AA 1050 Aluminium alloy plates have been investigated. Feed and revolution of welding tool were selected as variable parameters in the study. Increasing transverse speed of the friction stir welding pin while rotation speed is fixed, the amount of the heat input into the material is reduced and resulted in increase in the mechanical properties of welded joint. Key WordsAl-alloys, Friction stir welding, Bending fatigue, Mechanical properties
