Marion J. Franz, MS, RDN, CDE, is a nutrition/health consultant with Nutrition Concepts by Franz, Inc., in Minneapolis, Minn. She co-edited the 2017 American Diabetes Association Guide to Nutrition Therapy for Diabetes; was the lead author on the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ 2015 Evidence-Based Nutrition Practice Guidelines for Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes; co-edited the 2017 Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Pocket Guide to Lipid Disorders, Hypertension, Diabetes, and Weight Management; and has authored various American Diabetes Association nutrition position statements and technical reviews. She is a frequent contributor to journals and textbooks and lectures frequently in the United States and internationally.
