This is so thorough and painstaking, and so wide in scope, that one cannot but admire the degree of education of the general public which leads them to submit periodically to it. Quite apart from its use in this special direction, the book furnishes a valuable scheme for the comprehensive examination of patients which should be useful in the training of students and house physicians.
