Calcium channel blockers and beta-blockers are among the most frequently ingested cardiovascular drugs in self-poisoning causing significant mortality. Intravenous lipid emulsion (ILE) is reported as a potentially novel antidote for treatment of acute poisoning caused by some of these drugs.
